Our wedding planner recommended Sweet Art Bakery and we were not disappointed! From the second we took the first bite during our tasting, we knew our search for a cake was over. The fact that the cake the night of the wedding was even better than what we had during our tasting was just an extra little surprise. We got a three tier, multi-flavored cake that was absolutely amazing. We also had a separate eight inch round that got cut up in the kitchen while we were doing the cutting for pictures out front so our guests didn't have to wait for the actual cake to be cut. They are also going to give us a new top tier to have on our first anniversary, which is awesome. Not only do we not have to keep a cake in our freezer for the next year, but we didn't have to pay extra for a tier of cake that wouldn't get eaten by our guests. I'd highly recommend this bakery to couples looking for affordable, delicious, and beautiful cakes.

I was running into a time crunch and lived 300 miles from McKinney, but lucky for me, I picked Sweet Art Bakery out of the many listings on the internet. I gave them a rough design idea for a groom's cake and they went to work for me. I received a call asking if they could take some artistic liberties with the design and delivered much more than I expected! Everyone at the wedding reception loved the design and the cake was excellent! Great job and many thanks!!
Went in to order a cake for my husband's 40th birthday & only had a general idea. They were awesome & came up with a really cool Marvel Avengers cake. We were excited to see the final product & when the day came to pick it up we were stoked...it exceeded our expectations!!!! Designed with such detail & care!!! Plus it actually tasted amazing! We went with strawberry & cream cheese filling on one layer & chocolate & peanut butter mousse. Everyone at his party was highly impressed & loved how the cake tasted. Will be recommending Sweet Art Bakery to everyone!!!!! Thanks for helping make my husband's 40th a success!!!!
Our experience with this bakery could have gone a lot better. My wife and I ordered our wedding cake from here after our first choice bakery went out of business unexpectedly. SAB is close to us, and the reviews are mostly positive. They were very responsive and helpful getting a design for our wedding cake and the process and process were up-front and professional. But then we got the cake, and that's where the problems came in. My wife picked up the cake the day before the wedding and drove it straight to the vendor, who then placed it in their commercial refrigerator overnight. When my wife picked up the cake, it was fine; when she dropped it off, it was fine. When we walked in to our wedding reception the following evening, we had a leaning tower of wedding cake. An hour later, we had a $400 pile of wedding cake. This of course didn't ruin our wedding. We just didn't "cut" into the cake as tradition calls for, we kind of scraped some up and fed it to one another. I contacted the bakery the week after the wedding with the situation and photos of the cake pile, and the owner contacted me the following morning. He offered to call the venue to find out what happened, and of course they said it was like that when they got it. So now WE are the liars about the cake and physics of how it ended up in a pile on a table at our wedding reception. In all fairness, he did offer us a $75 credit towards another cake. But neither my wife or I are professional party planners, so we really don't need another $400 cake; for $325 with the discount. So have them deliver it for you, or build some kind of contraption in the back of your vehicle with a GoPro camera mounted to film the entire process of you taking possession of the cake and the subsequent travel to it's final destination as video-graphic evidence that the cake isn't damaged while in your custody.
